On Newton, we use biometric authentication in 2 different ways:

1. Biometric login - If you choose the option to log in faster to Newton using biometric login, then  biometric MFA will be used to authenticate your logins and crypto withdrawal attempts. If you use a device that supports biometric login and you have not enabled biometric login, then you will be prompted to use biometric login after every login to the app. However, once you've enabled this then you will no longer see this prompt and instead will be able to log in directly with the biometric MFA you set up.
   
   
   
2. Biometric unlock - This option is an added feature on the mobile app that allows you to use your phone's biometric authentication setting to unlock the app. You are shown the option to use biometric unlock on every log in to the app, whether or not you previously set it up. You can also change your biometric unlock setting from your in-app Settings on the mobile app.
