Failing automatic verification
If your information did not meet FINTRAC obligations, you will fail verification. If we could not match name, date of birth, and address against at least two reliable sources, that would cause automatic verification failure.
After you fail automatic verification, you will be put through the process of manual verification.
Failing manual verification
If we are still unable to confirm your identity through a manual verification by matching name, date of birth, and address against two reliable sources, you will be unable to open a Newton account.
In this case, you are welcome to submit your information again once you have obtained more comprehensive identity documentation.
