How to deposit with e-Transfer via the web:
1. Log into your Newton account.
2. Navigate to the Add Funds funding drawer at the top right.
3. Select Via Interac e-Transfer.
4. Input the amount of CAD you would like to deposit into your Newton account.
5. Confirm your Interac e-Transfer by selecting Send Fund Request.
6. Your request has been sent. You should now await an email to your email address. Skip ahead to Step 7.
How to deposit with e-Transfer via the app:
1. Log into your Newton account.
2. Navigate to the Transfer icon at the bottom.
3. Select Add Funds, followed by Via Interac e-Transfer.
4. Input the amount of CAD you would like to deposit into your Newton account.
5. Confirm your Interac e-Transfer by selecting Send Fund Request.
6. Your request has been sent. You should now await an email to your email address.
After the e-Transfer has been requested:
7. You should receive an email to your email address that allows you to accept your e-Transfer deposit.
8. After accepting the request, you will be redirected to the Interac e-Transfer webpage so that you can select your bank institution. Select the one that you wish to complete the e-Transfer deposit from.
9. You will be redirected to your online banking portal to complete inputting your bank information. Once your information has been inputted, you should receive your e-Transfer deposit in your Newton account.
Note: e-Transfers can take up to 1 hour to deposit during times of heavy traffic. If you are still missing your deposit after this time, follow the steps in this article.
