How do I tell if I have an e-Transfer nickname?

Note: This only applies if you are funding your account via the Request Funds method.

Depending on the bank you are with, the process will be different:
 
Scotiabank:
  • Please log into your bank account via the web (NOT mobile app)
  • Click the "Move Money" from the left-hand side
  • Click the “Interac e-Transfer” sub-tab
  • Click on “Interac details” under manage
  • Here you will see your legal name and alias(profile name)

CIBC/Simplii
  • Please log into your bank account via mobile app
  • Click on the menu button in the upper left corner
  • Click on “Setting and Security”
  • Click on “Interac e-Transfer Settings”
  • Here you will see your legal name and aliases

TD
  • Please log into your bank account via mobile app
  • Ensure you are on the home page
  • Click on the send money tab in the upper left corner
  • Here you will see sender name

RBC
  • Please log into your bank account via the web (NOT mobile app)
  • Click on the Send an Interac e-Transfer under the Transfers and Payments tab on the right
  • Click on Profile & Account Settings 
  • Here you will see sender name

BMO

  • Please log into your bank account via the web (NOT mobile app)
  • Ensure you are on the home page (It should say Hello 'Name' with your last sign in date below)
