At Newton, we offer two easy ways to fund your account using Interac e-Transfer. You can either:

"Fund via e-Transfer": Send money directly from your bank account using the details provided in your Newton account. Once you’ve added Newton as a contact, you won’t even need to log into Newton to fund your account—just send the money directly from your bank and we’ll let you know when it arrives. Log into your Newton account to get started.

"Request via App": Initiate a request from the Newton app, which sends an e-Transfer request to your bank. You will then receive an email that prompts you to log into your bank account and accept the request.

- Log into your bank account
- Find where you can “add a contact” using e-Transfer

- Log into your Newton account to find your e-Transfer information

- Copy-Paste the Newton information into your bank account's “add to contact” space
- After Newton has been added as a contact in your bank account, send us money whenever you’re in the mood and we’ll let you know when it arrives

We Recommend Fund via e-Transfer
While both funding options are available, many users find that sending money directly from their bank offers a better experience:
- Easier: After adding Newton as a contact, sending funds from your bank is easy. You won’t need to log in to Newton to complete the transaction, and we’ll notify you once the money has arrived.
- Faster: Direct transfers often move through the system more quickly, since they don’t require the additional step of accepting the transfer request in your bank account.
