Before setting up an authenticator app with your Newton account, ensure that your authenticator app of choice is downloaded and ready to go.

1. Upon login, you'll have to set up MFA. Click "authenticator app" to start.
   
   
   
   
   
2. Select ‘Show setup key”
   
   
   
   
   
3. Copy the key provided and navigate to your authenticator app of choice.
   
   
   
   
   
4. Once you’ve opened your authenticator app, click on the “add new” or “+” button. Note that this may look different depending on what authenticator app you use.
   
   
   
   
   
5. Follow the onscreen instructions to paste in the copied key on your authenticator app. 
   
   
   
   
   
6. Title the login on your authenticator app to help you remember what account the code is for. Your authenticator app should now be set up with the one-time codes you need to log in to your Newton account.
   
   
   
   
   
7. Copy the one-time code your authenticator app has provided for your Newton account. 
   
   
   
   
   
8. Navigate back to your Newton app and input this copied one-time code into the “Enter your one-time code” section.
   
   
   
   
   
9. You have now successfully paired your authenticator app with Newton!
