UPDATE: Please note that the recovery of assets sent to old funding addresses will no longer be possible as of May 1st, 2022.
As part of ongoing platform improvements, new funding addresses were automatically assigned to all Newton users for BTC, BCH, and LTC on November 5, 2021 and for ETH, USDT, USDC, QCAD, and XLM on Friday, November 26, 2021. This information and relevant reminders were sent to all Newton users via email.
What do you need to know?
- These changes will only apply to you if you have previously sent and intend to send any of the above coins to Newton after November 26, 2021. If you do not plan on sending these coins to Newton, and you have not used the old funding address in the past, then no need to read on! This notice does not affect withdrawals, trading, or any existing funds in your Newton account.
- You must update your saved addresses. The old ETH, USDT, USDC, QCAD, XLM, BTC, BCH and LTC addresses will not be supported on Newton after December 10, 2021. Please be sure to update any addresses that might be saved on other websites, wallets, or exchanges.
- Sending funds to old addresses after November 29, 2021 will result in processing delays. If you send funds to your old ETH, USDT, USDC, QCAD, XLM, BTC, BCH or LTC address after November 29th, 2021, our team will need to collect additional information from you to process the transfer, and this may take a few days.
- Sending funds to old addresses after December 10, 2021 will result in loss of funds. If you send funds to your old ETH, USDT, USDC, QCAD, XLM, BTC, BCH or LTC address after December 10, 2021 we may not be able to recover them for you. To ensure that you receive your funds, please triple check that all saved addresses are updated to the newly generated address moving forward.
