Effective April 10, 2026, LRC will no longer be listed on Newton. Support for the affected asset will be phased out beginning March 24, 2026, with liquidation of any remaining tokens on April 10, 2026. Read on for more information.
Why is this happening?
We regularly review the assets available on our platform to ensure they continue to meet our internal criteria and remain properly supported by our service providers. To maintain compliance with internal standards and support requirements, we will be phasing out support for LRC.
We understand that this may be disappointing for some users. Please know that we carefully consider these decisions and have explored all possible alternatives to maintain support for the affected tokens before reaching this conclusion.
What do you need to know
Key dates are as follows:
March 24, 2026: Market buys and new limit orders for LRC will be disabled. Deposits for these assets will also be disabled.
April 9, 2026: Sells for LRC will be disabled. Withdrawals for these assets will also be disabled.
April 10, 2026: Any remaining LRC will be liquidated. Withdrawals must be made before April 10, 2026.
If you currently hold LRC, you will be able to withdraw your holdings until April 9, 2026, 11:59 PM EDT. Holdings of this asset left on the Newton platform after 11:59 PM EDT on April 9, 2026, will be liquidated on your behalf at the current market value on April 10, 2026 and the resulting CAD proceeds from the sale will be deposited into your Newton account once complete.
To avoid liquidation (automatic sell-off at market rate) of this asset, you may withdraw your LRC before April 10, 2026.
Note: Beginning March 24, 2026, deposits of LRC sent to your Newton account will no longer be supported and cannot be recovered. Please refrain from funding your account with the above-listed asset, and ensure you remove this Newton wallet address for this asset from any address book entries you may have saved to prevent unintended transactions.
