Effective August 21, 2026, STORJ will no longer be listed on Newton. Support for the affected token will be phased out beginning August 7, 2026, with liquidation of any remaining tokens on August 21, 2026. Read on for more information.
Why is this happening?
We regularly review the tokens available on our platform to ensure they continue to meet our internal criteria and remain properly supported by our service providers. To maintain compliance with internal standards and support requirements, we will be phasing out support for STORJ.
We understand that this may be disappointing for some users. Please know that we carefully consider these decisions and have explored all possible alternatives to maintain support for the affected token before reaching this conclusion.
What you need to know
Key dates are as follows:
August 7, 2026: Market buys and limit orders for STORJ will be disabled. Deposits for this token will also be turned off.
August 21, 2026: Any remaining STORJ will be liquidated. Withdrawals must be completed by August 20, 2026, 11:59 PM EDT.
If you currently hold STORJ, you will be able to withdraw your holdings until August 20, 2026, 11:59 PM EDT. Holdings of this token left on the Newton platform after 11:59 PM EDT on August 20, 2026, will be liquidated on your behalf at the current market value on August 21, 2026 and the resulting CAD proceeds from the sale(s) will be deposited into your Newton account once complete.
To avoid liquidation (automatic sell-off at market rate) of your STORJ, you may withdraw your STORJ before August 21, 2026.
Note: Beginning August 7, 2026, deposits of STORJ sent to your Newton account will no longer be supported and cannot be recovered. Please refrain from funding your account with the above-listed token, and ensure you remove the Newton wallet address for this token from any address book entries you may have saved to prevent unintended transactions.
